ASHTANGA VINYASA YOGA BY Kyriakos H
A traditional practice. A deeper connection. A journey inward.
During our Bali retreat, we will be joined by Kyriakos H., an Ashtanga yoga teacher from Cyprus, sharing the transformative practice of Ashtanga yoga in the peaceful surroundings of BeingSattvaa, Ubud. Rooted in tradition, Ashtanga yoga combines breath, movement and focused awareness through a progressive sequence of postures. The practice builds strength, flexibility and concentration while cultivating a deeper connection between body and mind. Surrounded by Bali’s lush tropical nature, our daily practice becomes an opportunity to move with intention, develop a steady breath and experience the meditative quality of this beautiful discipline. Whether deepening an established practice or exploring Ashtanga more closely, these sessions invite you to approach the mat with curiosity, dedication and an open heart.
BEGUM GULDEREN; With 20 years of yoga practice and 17 years of teaching experience, Begüm Gülderen founded the Shivani Life Center in 2010 and has organized countless teacher training programs, international yoga retreats, and workshops. She traveled to India annually for a decade, spent five years staying in Japanese temples, trained under Ganesh Iyer, and studied with Govinda Kai and the Jois family (KPJAYI). Begüm also has a deep interest in Buddhist teachings and spirituality; she has visited the Dalai Lama's temple and studied his teachings firsthand. Begüm is the founder of the Shivani Life Center.
Melukat ceremony • Sound&Mantra Healing • FIRE CEREMONY • Energy Healing • VITALITY POOL & Ayurveda
Our retreat will take you beyond the yoga mat, with a beautiful collection of transformative and deeply immersive experiences. We will come together for a traditional Melukat ceremony, a heart-opening sound&mantra healing, an intimate fire ceremony, and an energising healings and movement circle. Alongside these rituals, we will experience ayurveda and spa. Each experience is an invitation to slow down, reconnect with the body, explore balinese traditions and share meaningful moments together.
THINGS TO DO:
Tanah Lot Temple
is one of Bali’s most important landmarks, famed for its unique offshore setting and sunset backdrops. An ancient Hindu shrine perched on top of an outcrop amidst constantly crashing waves; Tanah Lot Temple is simply among Bali’s not-to-be-missed icons. The onshore site is dotted with smaller shrines alongside visitors’ leisure facilities that comprise restaurants, shops and a cultural park presenting regular dance performances. The temple is located in the Beraban village of the Tabanan regency, an approximate 20km northwest of Kuta, and is included on most tours to Bali’s western and central regions.
Tegallalang Rice Terraces
Ubud is famous for its beautiful scenes of rice paddies involving the subak (traditional Balinese cooperative irrigation system), which according to history, was passed down by a revered holy man named Rsi Markandeya in the eighth century. Tegallalang forms the three most splendid terraced landscapes in Ubud’s shared region, with the others being in the villages of Pejeng and Campuhan. The Tegallalang rice terraces alone offers a scenic outlook that spreads down before you and away to the rice paddies on the slopes across the valley. The high roadside location is cool and breezy and it is a well-known spot for tourists to stop and take photos. Painters and nature lovers also enjoy visiting this spot, and there are numerous art kiosks and cafes nearby offering their ware.
Ubud Monkey Forest
Also known as the Sacred Monkey Forest of Padangtegal, is one of Ubud’s most popular attractions; a natural forest sanctuary that is home to a horde of grey long-tailed macaques. The site is well-preserved thanks to a community-based management program. The forest is also conveniently positioned near Ubud Town Centre, and within an easy walking distance from guesthouses and resorts along the main roads of Jalan Hanoman and the namesake Jalan Monkey Forest.
Markets, Ocean, The Beach, The Pool, Local Cafes& Restaurants are also great options for the time of staying with us in Bali…
Lake Batur
Tucked away in the highlands of East Bali, Lake Batur (Danau Batur) is one of the island’s most enchanting natural gems. Located in the Kintamani region, this volcanic crater lake sits beneath the towering Mount Batur and is surrounded by dramatic caldera walls, lush forests, and tranquil villages. It’s a perfect destination for travelers looking to escape the crowds and explore a cooler, more peaceful side of Bali. From hiking and hot springs to cultural experiences and breathtaking views, Lake Batur offers a variety of activities that suit adventure lovers, nature seekers, and cultural explorers alike.
leke leke
Bali may be known for its beaches and resorts, but it’s worth spending time inland exploring the beautiful waterfalls like Leke Leke. "Leke leke bali" refers to the Leke Leke Waterfall, a popular natural attraction in Bali, Indonesia, known for its unique narrow cascade, jungle setting, and photo opportunities
